Yurt Rock SPD SX Pro expansion pack download & demo

In this guide, I'll walk you through downloading, installing, and customising the Yurt Rock expansion pack for the Roland SPD SX and SPD SX Pro.

Step 1: Accessing the Download

After purchasing the expansion pack, you’ll receive an email granting access to the downloads. Simply click “Access Downloads,” which takes you to a page on the Yurt Rock website, hit download and wait a short while for the zip file to go to your downloads folder.

Step 2: Preparing Your USB Drive

Before transferring files, ensure your USB thumb drive is formatted. To do this Right-click on the drive, select “Erase Disk,” and format it selecting the MS-DOS FAT option. This step clears the drive, so make sure to back up any data you want to keep.

Step 3: Transferring the Files

Locate the downloaded files in your computers Downloads folder. Inside, you’ll find 3 folders, select the one appropriate to the device you're using. Highlight the folder and place it in the root directory of your USB drive.

Step 4: Loading the Kits

Insert the USB drive into your sampling pad and follow these steps:

1. Go to the menu using the arrow keys.

2. Navigate to “Backup” and select “Load One Kit.”

3. Choose the desired kit and specify a user patch to avoid overwriting existing creations.

4. Hit “Load” and let the process complete.
